Key New Features in the Latest Release
Sage 100 2024 is now available. Let’s take a quick look at some of the key new features in the latest release that span inventory, sales and purchasing, usability enhancements, and more.

Usability Enhancements
It’s now easier to get the answers you need quickly with the new Resources button accessed from the Help tab. It provides convenient access to popular resources like the Sage Community Hub, Knowledgebase, Product Documents page, Sage University, and additional services.
In Paperless Office, a new Detail button has been added in the ‘Results of Electronic Delivery’ window that provides details about documents sent to customers and vendors, including the date and time the document was submitted and the status.
When updating or deleting customers, vendors or inventory items, a collection of improvements to the Delete and Change Utilities in A/P, A/R, and I/M make the process more efficient.
Inventory Management Improvements
Based on customer feedback through the Sage 100 Ideas website, two new tasks have been added to the Inventory Management Utilities menu. Delete Warehouses is a new feature that deletes existing warehouse codes which may be necessary when a virtual warehouse (for scrap or returns) is no longer needed, or when a physical warehouse location closes.
Change Warehouses provides functionality to renumber or merge existing warehouse codes in your company data files.
In addition, Sage 100 workflow efficiency has been improved with an option to suppress extended item descriptions in grids, reducing distractions during data entry.
Production Management
Activity Code Maintenance–Improves user efficiency and navigation within the Production Management module by offering a more streamlined and focused lookup experience.
Cost Roll-up Register–Enables more accurate cost calculations in Production Management, providing users with greater flexibility and control over cost analysis and management.
Sales and Purchasing Updates
In the P/O Module, a new Quick Close option simplifies closure of partially received purchase orders during receipt of goods entry. In addition, Sage 100 2024 introduces a new “Received” status for orders received, but not invoiced (previously, these orders displayed as Back Order).
In the S/O module, a new ‘Reset Sales Order …’ automates print flag resets for backorders for better workflow efficiency during sales journal updates. Plus, the new ‘Display Ordered Quantity in Red’ enhances visibility of sales order quantities that surpass inventory thresholds.
Audit Tracking and Reports
Customer, Vendor, Item, and Employee Audit Trail–Track and print detailed audit trails for enhanced security compliance, providing comprehensive monitoring of changes to critical data.
Print when Entity is in Use–uninterrupted access to audit reports, improving workflow efficiency and allowing for seamless reporting even during active data maintenance.
Accounts Payable
Vendor 1099 Form Fields–Simplifies vendor management and compliance by allowing tracking of W-9 forms and encrypted retention of taxpayer IDs or social security numbers.
Library Master
Restricted Mode for Administrator Tasks–Provides administrators with greater flexibility and control over user access, ensuring smoother management of system updates and modifications.
Email Notification for Task Scheduler–Improves task management and workflow reliability by ensuring all scheduled tasks are processed, with notifications to alert users of any issues.
Advanced Lookup Engine
Retain Search Value–Enhances usability and efficiency by retaining search values, reducing user frustration, and streamlining data retrieval within ALE lookups.
Auto-Complete Search Index
Add, Change or Delete Entities Automatically–Improves search performance and eliminates manual tasks, enhancing user productivity and ensuring up-to-date search results for improved data accessibility.
Over 20 New or Enhanced Features
Sage 100 2024 showcases over 20 new or enhanced features, many of which are based on feedback from existing customers as well as the Sage 100 partner community.

Accounts Payable
Fixed issue with running AP Cash Requirements Report and selecting and AP_Vendor UDF value in the selection screen.
Common Item
Users will no longer be prompted to install Aatrix from Federal and State Tax Reporting, Certified Payroll Reporting and Form 1099 Tax Reporting. If Aatrix is not installed, you will now receive this message: “The Federal and State Tax Reporting client is not installed. Use Workstation Setup to install the client.”
Customizer
Corrected UDF mapping from PM_Template to PM_WorkTicketHeader table.
Inventory Management
Fixed “Error 11 SY_Selection.pvc 744” when clicking inside Selection section in Physical count Entry.
Fixed “Error 42 IM_ChangeLotSerialExpDates_rpt.pvc 243” when not using multiple warehouses and printing/previewing the Change Lot and Serial Expiration Dates Report.
Inventory Requirements Planning
Users can now increase the Production/Purchase Qty beyond the Qty Recommended in the summary screen.
Changes have been made to resolve error 41s from occurring and IRP Generation not completing.
Job Cost
Job Cost Code Detail cost is now updated with 1 segment Alpha cost codes when using the APPLY button.
Library Master
The automatic logoff warning message denoting the time limit has been reached will now remain on the screen for one minute allowing the user more time to take action.
Fixed issue where last field encrypted would not be included in GetEncryptedColumnList.
Paperless Office
Paperless Office now saves the document with the correct file name when printing the General Ledger Posting Recap Report from Period End.
Production Management
Parent item memos are now auto displayed in Work Ticket Entry.
Work Ticket Transaction Entry Material and Labor transaction costs now update to the PM_WorkTicketHistoryHeader.m4t file.
Purchase Order
Line comments are no longer missing from auto-generated Purchase Order from Sales Order.
Sales Order
Data on StarshipShipVia field is no longer truncated when exporting to Excel using ODBC. The character limit has been increased form 15 characters to 50.
Tax class is missing from tax code no longer appears when changing the Sales Tax Schedule on a Sales Order Invoice, when the first line on the sales order is /C.
System Setup
Error 36 in SetModule no longer occurs when running a task from a command line (bypassing the Launcher).
Job Status Notification and Notification Email fields in Task Scheduler are now enabled when Email authentication is setup as OAuth.
Visual Integrator
Syntax error no longer occurs in VIWDEF line 50590.
