Running a few data integrity checks a year is how to maintain the integrity of your MIP data.
MIP Fund Accounting has its very own set of diagnostic tests called Data Integrity Checks. Running these checks will return a pass/fail result and any errors that may be associated with your data. Many of you may already be familiar with them and run them on a somewhat regular basis.
Below are the various modules with specific checks that can be run individually or all at once.
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Budget
- Encumbrance
- System
Warning: The amount of time to run Data Integrity Checks can vary based on your configuration and the size of your database.
Exclusive access to the database is required and all users will need to remain out of the software until the checks have been completed. It is best practice to run them at the end of a workday to account for any unexpected downtime.
